QA Lead at Kforce, Columbus, OH

Responsibilities: Kforce is currently interviewing candidates for a large client in the Columbus, Ohio area. This client is looking for a Functional Tester. This position requires excellent and constant communication with development and testing staff. The work is delivered in high-level abstract instructions that require excellent problem and analytical thinking to architect, design, program, test, and deliver one-off automated solutions to the staff. The candidates must be able to work independently with minimal instructions, lead design meetings, facilitate walkthroughs of proposed designs, and attend meetings with testing and development staff, and be fully capable of giving live demonstrations of the finished products to staff members.

Job Ref#: 2312~EQG~1091886T1~99In addition, Automation Engineers must have strong design/development experience with exceptional problems solving skills, an ability to readily grasp and apply new technologies and skills as well as seek to understand the underlying goal and recommend solutions rather than strictly taking explicit task-based directions. Each resource must provide effective test automation skills across a wide variety of initiatives-including independent QA focused efforts or as core team members within a project effort with aggressive timelines. It is imperative that these resources be able to quickly assimilate new information and actively enjoys extending their skills and knowledge through their deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have strong scripting knowledge as well as familiarity with JCL; however, consideration will be given to individuals with sound development practices and an enthusiasm for learning. Qualified candidates will have at least 8-10 years of strong Quality Assurance testing experience and experience with Automation development, Quality Center, QTP, SQL, VBScript, Ruby, Cucumber and some mainframe background.
