A TEKsystems client is seeking two Sr. Integration Testers to fill an immediate need. SUMMARY - Provide estimates (time, staff) to support Quality Services - Represent the Test Engineering Group both internally and externally - Build, execute, and maintain Integration test suites - Contribute to assessment, recommendation, and implementation of automation strategies and methodologies in keeping with the goals of the Quality Services Department. - Help early detection of defects through automated verification and validation activities ensuring the integrity and quality of all work products - Act as the Quality Services representative on assigned areas of responsibility - Serve as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) on technical Integration testing. - Act as point person for assigned testing efforts - Reports to Team Lead , Senior Manager ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Act as a Sr Test Engineer for large/complex functional applications, advising staff with solutions to complex technical issues as they relate to the Test Engineering group. - Provide input for strategic direction and planning for the Test Engineering group. - Work on day to day issues and coordinate build and release with development team as necessary. - Smoke test against the deployed build and ensure quality code is released to QA environment. - Responsible for performing Integration testing and make sure all services developed are well integrated according to the specifications. - Responsible for researching and improving quality testing productivity and effectiveness within the quality testing domain - Accountable for consistent output of quality testing artifacts and testing services; adherence to quality methodologies - Predicts potential risks and identifies steps to minimize the impact of risks across area of responsibility - Analysis of requirements to ensure testability; reporting of gaps/discrepancies - Build, execute, and maintain Integration test harnesses, tests scripts as assigned - Ensure all testing artifacts are completed on time and in keeping with the quality standards and goals of the Quality Services organization - Defect reporting and tracking - Management reporting of status - Contribute to metrics reporting as individual contributor - Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for new staff members as assigned - Provide input to establishment/maintenance/improvement of methodologies, templates, process/procedure as appropriate - Establish and maintain test data as required for area of responsibility - Responsible for maintaining collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment of end-to-end processes QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Required Experience and Education - A bachelors degree or equivalent work experience - At least 7+ years of testing experience in total - Experience in technical integration testing is a plus - Experience with service testing. - Test management software - Experience with scripting languages. - English language fluency - Solid Understanding of QA principles, processes, and methodologies - Experience and understanding of the development lifecycle - Excellent trouble-shooting skills with both technical and non-technical issues - Experience with global testing organizations Preferred Experience and Education - Manual testing expertise - Programming background - Experience in general infrastructure disciplines (e.g., UNIX, Windows) - Previous experience working in the logistics industry - Experience with white box testing is a plus - Experience in testing Tibco tools( BW, BPM) is a plus - Experience with open source testing frame works like JUnit is a plus - Experience with ESB testing - Agile test technique, particularly iterative or SCRUM environments - Previous experience working in the logistics industry a plus - Knowledge of SQL and databases; ability to use complex SQL structures to mine for information Required Technical Knowledge and Skills - MS Office Skills - Expertise in developing groovy scripts - Experience in using test management suite, such as Quality Center, Rational - Experience in testing using message queues(JMS) in SoapUI - Expertise in XML and Web service testing - Experience with SoapUI is required - Ability to work in UNIX, Windows, AS400, Oracle, and Microsoft environment - Software Development Lifecycle's;
